How I work on a wedding day
My approach is about more than just taking a photo and moving on. I’m watching for moments as they build, the small shifts in energy, the things people don’t realise are happening until they see them back later. I don’t just document what’s obvious, I look for what’s real in between everything else.
On the day, I keep things relaxed and unobtrusive. I’m not constantly directing or interrupting, because I want people to stay in their moment rather than perform for the camera. That’s usually where the best images come from anyway.
When it comes to editing, I keep everything natural and true to how the day felt. Nothing overly heavy or trendy that dates quickly. It’s clean, warm, and consistent, with a focus on skin tones, light, and emotion rather than over-processing. The goal is for your photos to still feel like you in 10, 20, 30 years time — just as the day actually was, not a version of it filtered through a style that won’t last.

Some weddings don’t need full coverage, and that’s completely fine. If you’re planning something smaller or more relaxed, we can shape coverage around the parts of the day that matter most to you. It’s flexible rather than fixed, so it fits your plans instead of forcing you into a set structure. If you’re not sure what you need, just get in touch and I’ll help you figure out something that makes sense.
Custom coverage
If you’re getting married Monday to Thursday, I offer £200 off both half day and full day coverage. It’s automatically applied, so there’s nothing extra you need to do when booking.
